Freelance Sports Photographer

I'm Mike Orton, owner of Dawgtown Media and a freelance sports photographer based in Central Illinois specializing in coverage of collegiate and high school athletics.

My passion is telling the story of competition through photography, from the intensity of a championship moment to the emotion that follows the final whistle. I cover a wide range of high school and collegiate sports, creating images that reflect the energy, emotion, and character of each event.

My work has included credentialed coverage of the NCAA Baseball Tallahassee Regional, Illinois College athletics, IHSA State Finals, and high school athletics throughout Illinois. I approach every assignment with professionalism, respect for the athletes and event staff, and a commitment to delivering high-quality images in a timely manner.
